With everything going on in our country right now. I have felt a little lost, hurt and confused. There are plenty of people in our communities who are acting in the best ways they know how. Sometimes that may not be the way we would respond. It could be responding on social media, protests, community gatherings, or even just trying to hash it all out with their family and friends. This verse is what’s keeping me moving right now. It’s not just words, it’s life. We are not just asked but REQUIRED to act justly, to LOVE mercy and to walk humbly with our God. I need to be merciful to all around me, to walk in humility, act justly for those who have no voice and those in need. Were called to take care of the widows, children and the foreigners. I know we’re being called to walk in love ways we never have before. I want to teach my children to do the same.
